Tackling Shoplifting

The Wimbledon Village Safer Neighbourhood Team have been working hard to tackle shoplifting within the Village and local areas!

We have been working closely with officers from Raynes Park and Wimbledon Park after a number of commercial burglaries and shoplifters had been brought to our attention. 

Officers deployed in plain clothes to try and locate a number of identified individuals which resulted in two arrests for offences that took place in Raynes Park. 

As a neighbouring area, this reduces the risk of these persons making there way to the Village and causing disruption to our local businesses. 

SNT will continue to keep working hard to reduce crime within the area.
